When we started with USMC, the stakes couldn't have been any higher! For context, we are a national supplier of light gauge steel framing and framing connectors. Our connecting systems consist of a wide range of high volume progressive stampings, all of which are ran across multiple progressive dies, some of which run different parts from the same tool, which then requires changovers, etc.... point being; this is a challenge for any stamping outfit to manage, let alone one whom has no familiarity with any of your tooling or the products produced from them! Furthermore, unlike most cases where you may start with moving just a single part to a vendor in order to try them out, and then hope it works out for the best, we instead presented a much greater challenge. One where hoping for the best wasn't an option.... In fact, the future success of our company was entirely contingent on us finding a new stamper capable of handling our needs! To add to that stress, we didn't have a year for this transition, we didn't even have 6 months! If I recall correctly, I believe we went from the first shipment of dies and materials, to getting the final part releases for approvals and usage, in less than 90 days!!! You see, our previous "Stamping source" (LOL) had been acquired by a national company with for the soul purpose of better servicing their existing customer base, which meant we were getting fired!!! As a result, I was faced with the most critical decision of my career to date..... "Who is going to be our new stamper"? Dustin and his team brought us in, gave us an in depth tour, and assured us that they not only wanted our business, but that they would; make it their absolute priority to see us through the process, make sure tools were all evaluated and prepared for immediate production, confirm all initial parts were inspected and absolutely to our engineering specifications, and apply whatever initial time needed to do those things, and also ramp up their capacity to a level capable of producing the volume of products needed to get our inventory back in place for our sales demands... The challenge was daunting, the commitment was optimistic, but the results were staggering, and I am beyond thankful that we chose USMC to supply our progressive die stampings!!

It’s tough because we sell through distributors, so even when the customer is ready immediately, they still end up either having to bid through distributors OR – and this is super annoying – the distributor takes their sweet time processing the order and submitting to us. We had one distributor sit on an order for 3 MONTHS a couple years ago, which totally blew my mind. Thank you guys for being such a reliable, high quality vendor for us. Knowing I can count on you all makes my life much easier!
