Operation Christmas Child

The Power of a Shoebox

Many people don’t realize just how powerful a simple shoebox can be.

At US-Companies – US Duct, US Metal Crafters, and US Enhanced, we believe in making a difference.

Last year, our team came together with incredible heart and determination to pack and ship 3,000 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, and we did it!

Thanks to the generosity of our associates, customers, and vendor partners, 3,000 children across the globe received gifts of love and hope. It was an ambitious goal, and some of you helped make it happen.

This year, we’re excited to do it again—and take it a step further. While we successfully packed all 3,000 boxes last year, we reached $20,000 of our $30,000 shipping goal. In 2025, we’re starting earlier and expanding our efforts.

Our 2025 Online Fundraising Goal: $30,000 for Shipping

Based on Samaritan’s Purse national averages, it costs approximately $110,000 to fill and ship 3,000 boxes. Of that, $30,000 is needed for shipping alone. That’s what this online fundraising campaign supports.

Additional Ways to Get Involved: Contribute to Box Contents

Beyond online giving, we offer other ways to contribute to the contents of each box

  1. Invoice Add-On
When placing an order with us, simply request an OCC line item be added to your invoice. This contribution directly supports the purchase of items for the shoeboxes—things like school supplies, toys, and hygiene essentials.
  2. Vendor Discount Program
If you’re one of our valued vendors, consider offering a discount on your invoice to us labeled as “OCC”. Those funds will be applied directly to box contents.
  3. Sponsorship Opportunities
New this year, we’re introducing OCC Sponsorship Levels for businesses and individuals who wish to make a larger impact. Sponsorships will come with recognition opportunities across social media, email updates, and internal communications. More details will be shared soon—stay tuned!

A Story That Still Inspires: From Sudan to Smiles

Many of you remember Abraham—a member of our team whose life was forever changed by a simple shoebox. In 1987, he fled war-torn Sudan as a child and endured years in refugee camps. In 1995, someone handed him a shoebox and said, “Merry Christmas.” That box, filled with simple items, reminded him he wasn’t forgotten. Now a father of four and living in the U.S., Abraham never forgot what that moment meant to him—and neither have we.
